with DIY Catholic Homeschool Retreats
Need a retreat, but have no time or nothing local? Our DIY Catholic Homeschool Retreats are designed for busy moms just like you who need a boost of inspiration and rejuvenation in their homeschool vocation, but on your own schedule.
"I need a retreat!"
Your prayer life is dry. Homeschooling has you hanging on by a thread. You've been in survival mode so long you don't remember what normal feels like.
Right now? Your only "retreat" is the luxurious walk from the backseat to the driver door after getting your kids in the car.
So yeah, you're overdue for a retreat. But I can hear you lament from here: "But I don't have time!"
Or you maybe have time for a retreat, but none of the local women's retreats sound appealing as a homeschool mom.
You know some silence and reflection with the Lord would make a world of difference in your homeschool and in your own faith journey...but you're just not sure how to make it happen.
What if time or location were no longer an issue?
What if the retreat came to you — on your own time — already planned and ready to go for you?
Our DIY retreats are designed specifically for
Catholic homeschool moms — and their schedules.
From one busy homeschool mom to another, I've created the retreat I need: flexible, at my own pace, and with topics and reflections specific to the unique challenges and joys we face as Catholic homeschool moms.
Best of all? I've taken care of curating the entire retreat for you, so you don't spend all of your time figuring out what to do. Enjoy pre-selected talks, articles, prayers, and reflection questions, so all you have to do is pick the time and dive right in with the Lord.

Hard truth: We cannot adequately share the faith with our children if we aren't prioritizing our own faith life.
I know it's easier said than done. But I'm sure you're concerned for the state of our children's souls — it's probably a big part of why you're homeschooling!
If so, taking care of your own spiritual life isn't a luxury; it's a necessity. For our own soul as well as those the Lord has entrusted to us, because we cannot pour from an empty spiritual cup.
This is the path the Lord is using for your holiness, which means that if you step out in faith and give Him that time, He will bless it and use it to bring you and your family closer to Him.
Okay, but how exactly am I going to make this work?
I want to make doing a retreat as a homeschool mom doable, which is why these retreat guides are really flexible! Here's some ideas on how to make this happen:
❤️ Ask your husband, family member, or friend to watch the kids for one day or half a day. (You can go to your church, a local retreat center, or even isolate yourself in the guest room.)
❤️ Work through the retreat together with a friend group — even virtually!
❤️ Or, opt for an "active retreat" by setting aside time to work through one portion of the retreat per day for several days amidst your regular duties.
You don't have to wait to tend to your spiritual life until your kids are grown. DIY retreats make spiritual reflection possible even for busy homeschool moms!

Based on the timeless cadence of the Liturgy of the Hours
Each DIY Catholic Homeschool Mom Retreat contains six portions, named for one “hour” of the Liturgy of the Hours: Morning Prayer (Lauds), Mid-Morning Prayer (Terce), Midday Prayer (Sext), Afternoon Prayer (None), Evening Prayer (Vespers), and Night Prayer (Compline) — though you do not need to do each one at any set time of day!
The Liturgy of the Hours, also known as the Divine Office or the Work of God (Opus Dei), is the daily prayer of the Church, marking the hours of each day and sanctifying the day with prayer. Thus, each “hour” of this retreat is meant to be a prayer — perfectly designed for busy homeschool moms, who are experts at bringing prayer into our various duties throughout the day!
