The Day: We will begin with 8am Mass in the Chapel and then head to the Good Shepherd Room for our day together. Throughout the day, there will be an equal amount of time for silent prayer and group conversation, so we can connect both with God and one another! Our Speaker: Sarah Gutekunst is a passionate educator, seasoned homeschooler, and mother of seven children ranging from toddler to young adult. A graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in education, Sarah began her journey in the public school system, where she taught and wrote curriculum. Today, she brings that same dedication and love for learning into her home and community.

With a heart rooted in Psalm 127:1—“Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain”—Sarah speaks with warmth and conviction about the joys and challenges of homeschooling while keeping the faith front and center. At this year's homeschool retreat, she’ll encourage moms to lean into God’s calling, offering practical wisdom and spiritual encouragement for the year ahead.

Fee: Your $30 non-refundable, non-transferrable registration fee covers a box lunch and supplies for the day. We welcome additional donations of your time, talents, and treasure to keep this fee low.

Volunteers: This retreat needs many helping hands to make it happen, and I do need your help! If you are interested in assisting me in preparing for the retreat or at the retreat itself, please indicate which areas interest you when you register.

Scholarships: We do provide a limited number of scholarships at each retreat to those in need. You will need to email Jenny to explain your situation and agree to volunteer that day to help in some way. If you would like to make a donation towards scholarships for those moms unable to pay the registration fee, please contact Jenny.

Wait List: Space is limited on these retreats. A wait list will be created for anyone who registers after the limit has been met (if/when we reach capacity, that will be noted at the top of this page). In the past when we have had a wait list, we have always been able to call everyone on it within a day or two before the retreat to give them the opportunity to attend.
